• BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that: <br />(1) The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City any and all <br />documents, including contracts, which are necessary to effect the transfer of Lot A to Region Ten <br />Community Services Board, Inc., and the Mayor is authorized to execute a deed of gift, in form <br />approved by the City Attorney, conveying Lot A to Region Ten Community Services Board, Inc. <br />as a donation; provided, however, that Region Ten shall not seek an exemption of real estate <br />taxes on the Blue Ridge House, and Region Ten or Virginia Land Company shall be responsible <br />for all costs associated with said conveyance, including but not limited to preparation of a <br />recordable plat, title insurance, and recordation fees. <br />(2) The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City a contract, <br />substantially in the same form as attached hereto, and any and all other documents which are <br />necessary to effect the transfer of Lots B and C (except sub -lot 36 on Lot C) to Virginia Land <br />Company, to protect the City's interest in this transaction, and to require Virginia Land Company <br />to develop the subject property and adjacent property as a Planned Unit Development. The Mayor <br />is authorized to execute a special warranty deed, in form approved by the City Attorney, <br />conveying Lots B and C to Virginia Land Company. Virginia Land Company shall be responsible <br />for all costs associated with said conveyance, including but not limited to preparation of a <br />recordable plat, title insurance, and recordation fees. <br />The City Attorney is hereby authorized to take whatever steps are necessary to effect the <br />• closing of said property conveyances. <br />Approved by Council <br />June 21, 1999 <br />v� <br />C;Ark of City Council <br />
