Prepared by Charlottesville City Attorney's Office <br />June 6, 2001 <br />• City Tax Map 4, Parcel 271.1 <br />THIS DEED OF QUITCLAIM, made and entered into this day of <br />2001, by and between the CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA, a <br />municipal corporation and political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia (the "City"), <br />Grantor, and PIEDMONT HOUSING ALLIANCE, a Virginia corporation ("Piedmont"), <br />whose address is 515 Park Street, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />That for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00), cash in hand paid, the <br />receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for the purpose of providing Piedmont with land <br />for development of housing, the City does hereby QUITCLAIM unto the Grantee the following <br />• described real estate, hereinafter referred to as the 'Property": <br />All that certain lot or parcel of land, with the improvements <br />thereon and the appurtenances thereto belonging, situated in the <br />City of Charlottesville, Virginia, containing approximately 3,615 <br />square feet in area, and currently designated as Parcel 271.1 on <br />City Real Estate Tax Map 4; being a portion of the property <br />conveyed to the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, by deed dated <br />December 1, 1945, of record in the Clerk's Office for the City of <br />Charlottesville in Deed Book 123, page 196. <br />As evidenced by its acceptance and recordation of this deed, Grantee acknowledges that <br />the City makes no representations or warranties, whether express or implied, concerning the <br />absence of any "hazardous substances" (as defined by the Comprehensive Environmental <br />Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980, 42 U.S.C.
