Accident reports. <br />(a) The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident shall file with the police department a <br />• report of the accident or a copy of any report required by law to be filed with the state <br />department of motor vehicles. All such reports shall be for the confidential use of the police <br />department, and shall be subject to the provisions of Code of Virginia, chapter 3, article 11 <br />
