p� Whereve- - use-ble path feF bicycles nd niopeds has been PFON'ided adjacent to a Feadway, bicycle <br />• and moped Fido.... hall use such path and shall not use the Fead a No person shall ride or drive any <br />motorcycle on any city street, unless such person is licensed in accordance with &46.2-337 of the Code of <br />Virginia. <br />(b) No person shall ride or drive any motorcycle on any city street unless such motorcycle is equipped <br />with all safetyequipment required by state law for a motorcycle and the motorcycle is licensed or <br />registered by the Division of Motor Vehicles. <br />(c) Any motorcycle operated in violation of this section may be impounded and disposed of in accordance <br />with City Code 615-296 et seq. <br />(d) For the purposes of this section the term motorcycle shall have the meaning set forth within 646.2-100 <br />of the Virginia Code. <br />Sec. 15-245. Riding twe or meFe abFeast. Reserved. <br />Sec. 15-246. Riding and skating on sidewalks and the downtown mall. <br />(a) No person shall ride a bicycle, an electric power -assisted bicycle or moped on any sidewalk or other <br />• area designated exclusively for pedestrian traffic including, without limitation, the pedestrian mall area on <br />Main Street between the Ninth Street bridge and Ridge -McIntire Road; provided however, that this <br />prohibition shall not apply to on -duty police officers and other uniformed emergency services personnel <br />using the pedestrian mall. For the purposes of this section the terms electric power -assisted bicycle and <br />moped shall have the meanings set forth within 646.2-100 of the Virginia Code. <br />(b) No person shall ride or use rollerskates, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, or similar devices on <br />wheels or runners on the above-described pedestrian mall area on Main Street. <br />Sec. 15-247.OpeF eF earf ing package, bundle, Reserved. <br />Sec. 15-251. Disposition of unclaimed bicycles, mopeds, etc. <br />(a) Where any bicycle, electric personal assistive mobility device, electric power -assisted bicycle, <br />moped has been found or delivered to the police department, and has thereafter remained in the <br />possession of the police department, unclaimed, for more than thirty (30) days, such property may be <br />disposed of as follows: <br />(1) In cases where a private person found and delivered the property to the police department, and <br />requested to receive the property if it should remain unclaimed: if the location and a description <br />• of the property has been published at least once a week for two successive weeks in a newspaper <br />of general circulation within the city (and, in the case of an electric personal assistive mobility <br />
