• AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING ABANDONMENT AND RELOCATION <br />OF A WATER LINE EASEMENT <br />ACROSS PROPERTY KNOWN AS HUNTLEY SUBDIVISION. <br />WHEREAS, Huntley of Charlottesville, Ltd. ("Huntley"), the owner of property <br />known as Huntley Subdivision near Sunset Avenue, has requested abandonment and <br />relocation of a water line easement, shown on page 5 of the attached plat made by Bryan <br />J. Chambers, dated July 21, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Virginia Code ' 15.2-1800(B), a public hearing <br />was held to give the public an opportunity to comment on the abandonment of this <br />easement; and <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Engineering Division have reviewed the request and <br />determined that the City no longer has a need for the water line easement since Huntley <br />has caused the relocation of the water line and granted the City a new easement; now, <br />therefore, <br />• BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Deed of Abandonment and Relocation of <br />Easement, in form approved by the City Attorney, to abandon the above-described <br />easement, and accept the relocation of the water line easement. <br />Approved by Council <br />February 20, 2007 <br />CkIrk of City Council <br />
