0 <br />A RESOLUTION - <br />DESIGNATING WATER AWARENESS WEEK <br />WHEREAS, the maintenance of a clean, safe and adequate supply <br />of water is basic to the welfare and development of any community; and <br />WHEREAS, citizens need to be aware of the effort and expense <br />necessary to provide this vital resource, and of conservation measures <br />which they can take to insure continued maintenance of adequate water <br />supply at a reasonable cost; and <br />WHEREAS, to heighten such public awareness the Rivanna Water <br />and Sewer Authority has asked this Council to designate May 20 - 26 as <br />Water Awareness Week; now, therefore, be it <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, that <br />May 20 - 26, 1979 .is- hereby officially designated as Water Awareness <br />Week; and all citizens of the City are urged to participate in the activities <br />sponsored by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority during such week, and <br />• to practice water conservation measures throughout the year. <br />Copy Teste: <br />Clerk of the Council <br />Adopted by the Council <br />May 7, 1979 <br />
