• RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT
TO DR. CHARLES H. WOOD, JR. FOR A SMALL ANIMAL HOSPITAL
WITHOUT OUTSIDE RUNS OR PENS AT 820 DALE AVENUE
WHEREAS, Dr. Charles H. Wood, Jr. has requested a
special use permit to construct a small animal hospital
without outside runs or pens at 820 Dale Avenue;
WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before
this Council and the Planning Commission, duly
advertised and held on November 11, 1987, this Council
finds that such use will conform to the criteria
applicable to special permits generally under Chapter 31
of the City Code; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Charlottesville, Virginia that the special use permit is
hereby granted to allow Dr. Charles H. Wood, Jr. to
construct a small animal hospital without outside runs
or pens at 820 Dale Avenue. This property is further
identified on City Real Property Tax Map !31 as Parcels
1 (Lot 6) and 4.1, and Lots 4 and 5 on Parcel 5, having
• approximately 50 feet of frontage on Dale Avenue, 150
feet of frontage on Preston Avenue, 30 feet of frontage
on Rose Hill Drive, frontage on a 15' alley, and
containing approximately 11,850 square feet of land.
This special use permit is subject to those
conditions imposed by the Planning Commission
at the joint public hearing with the exception of
Condition I4 requiring a zero decibel reading at the
property line. In lieu of that requirement, Council
imposes a condition for wall and window construction in
the animal hospital so that they meet a sound trans-
mission coefficient of at least 50 STC for those walls
and windows enclosing the area in which live animals are
housed.
Approved by Council
December 21, 1987
C
erc of Council
• 87-6-68
