Region Ten Community Services Board's <br />proposal for a multi-family development was approved by the <br />following vote. Ayes:' Rev. Edwards, Mr. Towe, Mr. <br />Vandevert Ms. Waters. Noes: None. Abstaining: Mr. Buck. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that this Council certifies to the <br />Virginia Housing Development Authority Council's approval of <br />the proposed multi-family residential housing development at <br />409 3rd Street, N.E. in Charlottesville_by the Region Ten <br />Community Service Board. Notwithstanding the above, the City <br />will not be responsible for any debt service charges in <br />connection with the aforesaid financing of the multi-family <br />residential housing development by Region Ten Community <br />Services board. ~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AMENDING SPECIAL PERMIT FOR RADIO TRANSMISSION TOWER <br />AT 1140 ROSE HILL DRIVE <br /> <br /> Mr. Satyendra Huja, Director of Community Development, <br /> stated that the Planning Commission recommended approval of <br /> the special permit for the following reasons: 1) It is not <br /> contrary to the Comprehensive Plan and 2) It will not have a <br /> significant impact on the surrounding neighborhood. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, <br />the resolution amending the special permit for a radio <br />transmission tower at 1140 Rose Hill Drive was unanimously <br />approved by Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Michael Ludgate, on behalf of Eure <br />Communications, Inc., has requested~an~amendment to the <br />special use permit granted to Clay Media, Inc.(former owner <br />of the property) on October 15, 1984 for the purpose of <br />replacing the 70 foot radio tower at 1140 Rose Hill Drive <br />with an 80 foot tower a distance of 90 feet from the property <br />line and approximately 2 feet from the building on the site. <br />This property is further identified on City Real Property Tax <br />Map ~44 'as Parcel 30, having approximately 216.23 feet of <br />frontage on Rose Hill Drive and containing approximately <br />103,187 square feet of land or 2.37 acres. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this <br />Council and the Planning Commission, duly advertised and held <br />on July 12, 1988, this Council finds that such use will <br />conform to the criteria applicable to special permits <br />generally under Chapter 31 of the City Code; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the special permit granted <br />October 15, 1984 is hereby amended to allow Eure <br />Communications~ Inc. to replace the 70 foot radio <br />transmission tower with an 80 foot tower a distance of 90 <br />feet from the property line and approximately 2 feet from <br />their building wall. <br /> <br /> This special use permit amendment is also subject to the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Administrative approval of the site plan. <br />2. ~ The removal of the~existing transmission tower <br /> within 30 days of installation of the new 80 ~ <br /> foot tower. <br />3. That the setback from the nearest property~line be <br /> at least 80 feet but that the tower be permitted to <br /> be within 5 feet of the existing radio station <br /> building. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />FOR BAILIFF <br /> <br />SUPPORTING REQUEST OF SHERIFF TO COMPENSATION BOARD <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrix stated that the Albemarle County Sheriff <br /> <br /> <br />
