Edwards, Mr. Towe Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. <br />None. . · ' Noes: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $1,000, received <br /> as a donation; is hereby appropriated to expenditure account <br /> 13-162-062115-54128 to be used by the Girls, Attention Home <br /> to pay. for Christmas gifts purchased for the residents. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is requested to <br /> send a letter to the donors expressing Council,s gratitude <br /> for their generosity. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: APPROVING DELINQUENT TAX REPORT <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the City Code requires the City <br /> Treasurer to report on delinquent taxes. · <br /> <br /> Mr. Gene Harding presented the Delinquent Tax Report to <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Mr. Towe, the <br /> Delinquent Tax Report was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING SALE OF $5 MILLION GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />BONDS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that Council had adopted an <br />ordinance in April of 1987 approving the sale of bonds for <br />Capital Improvement Projects, of which $5 million were sold <br />in 1987. Mr. Hendrix 'stated that'an additional $5 million <br />were scheduled to be sold in 1988 but because of the bond <br />sales by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority and the ~ <br />Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport Authority, the City's bond <br />sale was postponed until 1989. Mr. Hendrix stated that this <br />resolution would authorize the sale of $5 million in bonds on <br />January 31st. <br /> <br /> On motion ~by Rev.
