The City Manager is authorized to <br />enter into agreements with those agencies and <br />organizations as he may deem advisable to ensure that the <br />subgrants are expended for the intended purposes, and in <br />accordance with applicable Federal and State laws and <br />regulations; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following sums are <br />hereby appropriated from funds received from the aforesaid <br />grant as a subgrant to the Charlottesville Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority: <br /> <br />24-72400 <br /> <br />City-Wide Homeowner Rehabilitation <br />by the Charlottesville Housing <br />Improvement Program (CHIP) 5,000 <br /> <br />155,000 <br /> <br /> Revenues received by the Charlottesville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority from repayment of <br />deferred loans made under these programs shall be returned <br />by the Authority to the City for credit to the CDBG Fund. <br />Such funds credited to the CDBG Fund shall be deemed <br />automatically reappropriated to the Authority for the same <br />purposes for which they were originally appropriated. The <br />Director of Finance may establish such regulations and <br />procedures as may be expedient to create these "revolving <br />funds." <br /> <br /> The City Manager, the Directors of Finance and of <br />planning and Community Development, and the staff of the <br />Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (CRHA) <br />are authorized and directed to establish appropriate <br />expenditure sub-accounts in the Community Development <br />Block Grant Fund to assist the City and CRHA in accounting <br />for such programs, and to establish administrative <br />procedures asnd provide for mutual assistance in the <br />execution of the programs as approved by the Board of <br />CRHA. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: JOB TRAINING PARTNERSHIP ACT <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the appropriation would <br />enable the City to administer the Job Training Partnership <br />Act Program with the State and Federal funds received. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Hall, the <br />appropriation for the Job Training Partnership Act Program <br />was offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: RELATING TO HIGHWAY FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the Virginia Municipal League <br />had requested that localities support their policy stand <br />recommending that should the State Legislature increase <br /> <br /> <br />
