119 <br /> <br />form approved by the City Attorney: <br /> <br />Agreement between the City of Charlottesville and <br />Allied Realty Company to grant an easement to <br />Allied Realty Company for isntallation of screw <br />anchors underneath the roadbed for a portion of <br />Harris Street. <br /> <br /> A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the <br />minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was <br />adopted° <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: AUTHORIZING SALE OF LOT ON BUCKINGHAM CIRCLE (TAX MAP <br />76D, PARCEL 26B) (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />SALE OF A PARCEL OF LAND IN ALBEMARLE COUNTY, IDENTIFIED ON <br />TAX MAP 76D AS PARCEL 26B, TO GUS M. HEILMAN AND ELSIE N. <br />HEILMAN FOR $11,050, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR'S SIGNATURE <br />ON THE DEED OF CONVEYANCE" which was offered at the January <br />5th meeting, was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. <br />Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Hall, Mr. Towe. Noes: <br />None. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: CEMETERY FEES <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the increase in cemetery fees <br />was recommended due to the increased cost to the City and <br />noted that there is a supplemental charge for weekend fees <br />due to the overtime involved. <br /> <br /> Dr. Hall stated that he had received calls from persons <br />concerned with the additional cost on the weekend and stated <br />that he was concerned that the increased fees would cause <br />problems for many people. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 6-9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO CEMETERY FEES AND CHARGES" was <br />offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: CORRECTION TO PAVEMENT CUT ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that a section had inadvertently <br />been omitted from the pavement cut ordinance recently <br />adopted by Council and this ordinance would correct the <br />error. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, TO MAKE CORRECTIONS TO <br />SECTION 25-32.1 AND ADD SECTION 25-34.1 RELATING TO <br />STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR EXCAVATIONS IN PUBLIC WAYS" <br />was offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Towe commended the Charlottesville High School <br />basketball teams. <br /> <br /> Mr. Towe requested that staff continue to pursue <br />developing a drug testing policy and provide the public with <br />information regarding such a policy. <br /> <br />Mr. Buck stated that Council had previously asked staff <br /> <br /> <br />
