The City will invest $325,000 and will receive <br />$26,000 a year in rent until such time that the property is sold and developed in <br />conjunction with the adjoining property currently owned by the City <br /> <br /> Mr. Clyde Gouldman, City Attorney, said that the seller has asked that possession <br />of the property be delayed until January 1, 1999 for tax purposes, but that the closing take <br />place in December. <br /> <br /> Mr. Caravati questioned why rent would be paid to the seller after dosing on the <br />property, and said that he feels that if the City accepts the proposal to delay possession <br />then the seller should not benefit financially. <br /> <br /> It was agreed that the second reading of the ordinance would be deferred to the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox, referring to questions raised by the public about Meadowcreek Parkway <br />and the proposed ban on trucks, asked if the banning of trucks had been approved by <br />Council. <br /> <br /> Ms. Richards said that Council has approved the banning of trucks in both the <br />three-party agreement and in action taken on the CATS plan last December, and noted <br />that Council has not taken a position to approve primary road designation for the <br />Parkway. <br /> <br /> <br />
