(City's Share - <br /> $93,000) (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council for the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the sum of $360,893.00 is hereby appropriated ~om account code 26-188-033106 in the <br />Capital Projects Fund to fund aerial photography, planimetrics and digital orthophotos of <br />the City and surrounding area in a project jointly funded by the City, Albemarle County, <br />ff~e Albemarle County Service Authori~ and the University of Virginia. The C~d has <br />agreed to be the fiscal agent for this project, with the cost being f0nded as follows: <br /> <br />City of Charlottesville $ 92,772 <br />Albemarle County Service Authority $155,673 <br />Albemarle County $ 10,298 <br />University of Virginia $102,150 <br /> <br />TOTAL COST <br /> <br />$360,893 <br /> <br /> This appropriation is conditioned upon reimbursement by the Albemarle County <br />Service Authority, Albemarle County, and the University of Virginia in the amounts <br />specified above, as periodically invoiced by the City. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: "/x24 ORDINANCE A2vlENDING Aff4D <br />REENACTING THE DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 34- <br />15 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, BY THE REZONING OF <br />CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1308 EAST MARKET STREET" <br />(2"a reading) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: "AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE <br />CONVEYANCE OF CITY,.OWNED PROPERTY ON EMMET STREET TO <br />ThE UNFv'ERSITY OF VIRGINIA (2aa reading) <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Alexis Ziegler, 912 Woodfolk Drive, presented information on efforts to <br />protect national forests, noting that communities get a lot of their drinking water out of <br />such land, and urged Councilors individually or as a group to write a letter to the Forest <br />Service encouraging more protection of national forests. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Ms. Richards said she was approached by a citizen about adding Mrs. Rebecca <br />McGinness' name to a plaque on the Drewary Brown Bridge. <br /> <br /> Ms. Daugherty explained that the Bridge Builders Committee will be meeting in <br />the next few weeks to work out a system for adding names on the bridge. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox said an issue appearing .in the news and brought up at candidate forums <br />is the low number of police officers and teachers who live in the City, and asked what <br />incentives can be given to encourage them to live in the City. Mr. Cox said that Congress <br />has approved incentives for police and teachers which speaks to the fact that it is a <br />national problem. <br /> <br /> Ms. Daugherty announced ti,at the public part of the corridor marly will begin on <br />April 24th and 25th. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox asked if targeted mailings for the corridor study meetings are going out <br />to COmprehensive Plan participants. <br /> <br /> <br />
