127 <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. GUnter, the <br />$.43,088 appropriation for Fire Department overtime was offered <br />and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: LEVY AVENUE AND 6TH STREET PARKING LOT <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that the appropriation would fund <br />improvements to the parking lot on the corner of Levy Avenue <br />and 6th Street which had been made available by the Housing <br />Authority for use by Trailways. In turn, the City will be <br />allowed continued use of the parking lot behind the old <br />Reid's building which is owned by Traiiwavs. <br /> <br /> On a question by Mr. Buck, Mr. George Ray, Economic <br />Development Coordinator, stated that there were additional <br />funds for landscaping should the amount budgeted prove to be <br />inadequate. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />$60,353 appropriation was offered and carried over to the <br />next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: CDBG REPROGRAMMING <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that he would abstain on this item due <br />to a conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix: stated that it is an annual process to look <br />at the projects for the past and current year and redirect <br />the funds when necessary. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />CDBG Reprogramming was offered and carried over to the next <br />meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix Stated that bids had recently been received <br />for handicapped access improvements and there were insufficient <br />funds for the project. Mr. Hendrix stated that the appropriation <br />would shift funds from the Capital Projects fund to the Parks <br />and Recreation Department. Mr. Hendrix added that there was a <br />possibility that the Capital Projects. fund could need additional <br />funds as a result of this appropriation. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the <br />appropriation for handicapped access improvements was offered <br />and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: DESIGNATING DEPOSITORIES FOR CITY <br /> <br /> r. Hendrix stated that the resolution was necessary for <br />insurance purposes. <br /> <br /> On motion'by Mr. Barnes, seconced by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />resolution designating depositories for the City was unanimously <br />approved by Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia that the following banking institutions, wh'ich <br />have qualified as public depositories under The Virginia <br />Security for Public Deposits Act of the Virginia Statutes, <br />shall be and are hereby designated a.s public depositories for all <br />public monies coming into the hands of i. G.
