Gleason, Dr. Haden, iylr. Buff, L1r. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />Minutes of the :Aeeting of January 15, 1914.0, were read and approved. <br />A Public Hearing was held on this date in connection :with the request of the <br />Public Hearinaackson Park Hotel Corporation for a change in the Zoning Ordinance. No one appeared • <br />re: Jackson <br />Park Hotel for or against the proposed change. The following report of the Board of Zoning <br />Corp. <br />Appeals was presented: <br />A meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was held at the City Hall <br />January 29, 19.00 at 3:00 P. m. <br />Present: Hugh R. Hawkins, Chairman, G. C. Blakey, Ji. P. Vvalker, <br />F. L. Watson and W. F. Long. <br />The minutes of the three last meetings were read and approved. <br />The Bo.rci considered the resolution of the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville passed on the 15th of January, 1940, asking the recommenda- <br />tion of the Board as to whether the 28 acre tract owned by the Jackson Park <br />Hotel Company, situated on the South side of Ivy Road, a short distance <br />'iVest of the University, now designated as A -Residence District, should be <br />changed to B-1 Business District. <br />By unanimous vote the Board recommended that the said 28 acre tract be <br />not changed from A -Residence Listrict to B-1 Business District but that a <br />permit be granted to the Jackson Park Hotel Com: -any making an exception of <br />so much of said tract as may be necessary for the purposes of the Hotel which <br />said Company proposes to erect. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br />A true copy teste: • <br />17.
