G. Gleason, that the parking meters installed <br />parking <br />on ?:lain Street be purchased and paid for according to the contract with the Dual <br />Meters <br />Parking Meter Co�lpany, was unanimously adopted. <br />On motion the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Parking Meters $894.22 be and the same is hereby appropriated to pay to the Dual Parking <br />Appropriation <br />%pleter Company, 750/0 of the receipts from the parking meters from December 19, <br />1939, to February 1, 1940, inclusive. <br />Committee to On motion a Committee, consisting of Mr. Jessup, the City Treasurer, and City <br />Destroy Bonds <br />Auditor, was appointed to destroy $17,000.00 City of Charlottesville General Improve- <br />ment Bonds, Series of 1930, which matured January 1, 1940. <br />On motion a petition in regard to 16th Street, between Burnley Avenue and Preston <br />16th St. Avenue, was referred to a committee, consisting of Dr. Haden, '-dr. Gleason, and '.',Jr. <br />Burnley, for investigation and report. <br />On motion the Council went into Executive Session by the following recorded <br />vote: Ayes: Zdr.
