1-03 COUNCIL CHAIyIBER FEBRUARY 19 1940 The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, 21r. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. Minutes of the Meeting of February 5, 1910, were read and approved. Mr. Perry and fir. Dettor of the City School Board addressed the Council and HB X240 requested that a resolution be adopted opposing the enactment by the General opposed Assembly of House Bill j12J+O Use of School Property. On motion by Dr. Haden, the following report was unanimously adopted: February 15, 1940 To the lilembers of the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia Gentlemen: and upon the rules being suspended as to the second reading by unanimous vote, was adopted by the following recorded vote: Ayes: Your Committee wishes to report that they have this date burned the following City of Charlottesville 4latured Bonds: Bonds Burned Ln u17.000. Kennedy was ordered paid one-half pay for time lost sick on February 10 and 11, 19,40; and Policeman J. W. Dudley was ordered paid one-half pay for time lost froi:i January 24 to February g, 1940, inclusive, all on account of sickness. An ordinance entitled "Ail ORDINANCE AI,1ENDING SECTIO14 195 (1) OF THE CODE OF THE Ordinance CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE OF 1932 AS �_1ERETOFORE AIAE14DED AND RE-ENACTED, ENTITLED "Zoning" "ZONINGtt"DISTRICTS", was offered by Mr. Jessup, seconded by Mr. Peyton, and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. On motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Haden, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville Approp, Child Welfare that $50.00 or as much thereof as may be necessary be and the same Association is hereby appropriated for advertising Child Welfare Association Campaign.. Dog Fund On motion bills against the Dog Fund in amount of �ti.50 and $2.40 were approved for payment.
