Haden <br />Mr. <br />George T. Huff <br />Mr. <br />S. <br />A. Jessup <br />Mr. <br />F. <br />B. Peyton, Jr. <br />TAKE NOTICE: <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER, ITAY 62 1939 <br />May 5, 1939 <br />A special meeting of the Council will be held tomorrow morning <br />the 6th inst. at 9:00 osclock A. 'i. for the purpose of considering: <br />1. Bond Issue Ordinance. <br />2. Appropriation for Retirement of Woolen Mills Sanitary <br />Sewer Bonds. <br />BY ORDER OF: <br />Jas. E. Bowen, Jr. (sGeorge T. Huff (signed) <br />Clerk President <br />a special meeting of the Council was held on this date with the following members <br />present: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $1502000.00 <br />ORDINANCE -- OF BONDS OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE TO BE KNOWN AS 'GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, <br />$150,000.00 <br />Bond Issue SERIES OF 19391"s which was offered and read -in the regular meeting of the Council <br />held on May 1, 1939, was again presented, read and adopted by the following recorded <br />vote: Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. Noes :None. <br />(mull text of this ordinance will be found recorded in Ordinance Book 2, pages <br />233-235) <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by Mr. Jessup, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Appropriation $374.50 be and the same is hereby appropriated to retire the City's pro - <br />to retire <br />$700.00 Woolen portionate part of $700.00 of Woolen Mills Sanitary District Bonds which <br />Mills Sanitary <br />District Bonds were called for payment on May 1, 1939. <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br />Jerk <br />Pr gid ent <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER, MAY 15, 1939 <br />The <br />Council met in regular session on <br />this <br />date with the following members <br />present: <br />Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, <br />Mr. <br />Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />Minutes of the meetings of May l, -and May 6, 1939, were read and approved. <br />Welfare Dept. Mrs. T. H. Daniels addressed the Council relative to the Welfare Department. <br />to <br />A communication from the Chief of Police relative/a letter and check in amount <br />Reward to of $20.00 to Policeman C.
