<br />AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT ALL STREET CARS BE EQUIPPED WITH PROPER BRAI'J:S -
<br />(Adopted October 13,1904. )
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL,That all care running over the street car lid;
<br />upon Main Street shall,after thirty (30) days fror: the passage of this ordirance,be
<br />.11
<br />supplied with brakes,or other apparatus sufficiently effective to stop the car upon
<br />place along said line within a space of fifty (50) feet,no matter at what rate of sp,
<br />the car be going.
<br />PF:NTALTY. For a failure to observe this ordinance and keep all cars provided vii
<br />such apparatus,the corporation or other person owning or leasing said ca.rs,shall be
<br />guilty
<br />of a
<br />misdemeanor and
<br />shall
<br />be fined from
<br />five dollars (65.00)
<br />to
<br />fifty dollen
<br />($50.00)
<br />for
<br />each day during
<br />whic?:
<br />any car shall
<br />not be provided
<br />with
<br />the
<br />aforesaid
<br />apparatus.

<br />vE.lue than fifty dollars ($50.00), he shall be deemed guilty of petit larceny and
<br />fined not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than one -hundred dollars (.A100.00),
<br />or confined in jail not less than fifteen (15) days nor more than six (6) months.

<br />of age,cigarettes or tobacco in any form,or pistols,or dirks or bowie knives,Ilaving
<br />good cause to believe him or her to be a minor under sixteen (16) years of age,
