180 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION FOR A MONUMENT TO LEWIS AND CLARK TO BE PLACED <br /> <br />"MIDWAY" PARK, <br /> <br />RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING, <br /> <br />That under the direction of a committee consisting of Dr. Chas. W. Kent and <br /> <br />Mr. W. O. Watson and such others as they shall associate with themselves, a monument <br /> <br />to Lewis and Clark, whose cost is to be covered by a gift of $20,000. already made <br /> <br />for that purpose by a patriotic citizen, shall be placed in the small park at the <br /> <br />junction of W.
