A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTRAL CURB MARKET, AND FIXING THR LICENSE TAX THEREFOR. RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING, That a central curb market be established in the city of Charlottesville so that market farmers may have a space set apart to display and sell their products, each parson desiring to avail himself of the privilege of selling hid goods at such market to pay an annual license tax of $10. the place for such curb market to be fixed by Adopted by the Common Council April 12,1917. Ayes: Forrest, Gleason, Graves, Long, Souder and Wingfield (6) :Noes, None, Mr. Elliott was excused from, voting. AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH A CENTRAL CURB MARKET FIXING THE LICENSE TAX THEREFOR" ADOPTED 12, 1917: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING, That the ordinance entitled "Establishing a central curb market and fixing the Licence Tax therefor, adopted April 2,1917, be and is hereby repealed. Adopted by the Common Council 10,1917. Ayes: Elliott, Forrest, Gleason Graves, Long, Souder, Twyman and Wingfield. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING, That the Mayor be and he is hereby empowered to designate such street or streets as may by him be deemed necessary for the establishment of a curb market for the use of farmers and truckers, and the time he may deem best suited for the conduct of said market; said farmers and truckers are hereby required to register with the Mayor for the year before beginning business.
