AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT WITH

<br />COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE IN THE MATTER OF JOINT CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE ROAD,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING,
<br />
<br />That H. A. Stecker is hereby authorized to execute a contract or agreement with
<br />
<br />the County of Albemarle for the purpose of jointly building the concrete pavement on
<br />
<br />Free Bridge Road, provided the said contract or agreement is consistent with the resol-
<br />
<br />ution heretofore adopted by the Council and Board of Aldermen.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 580 OF THE CITY CODE:
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING,
<br />
<br />That Sec. 580 of the City Code be amended and re-enacted to reas as follows:
<br />
<br />It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any live hog within the corporate
<br />
<br />limits of the City, or withing one -Quarter of a mile of the City Limits, in pens or
<br />
<br />small enclosures unless he or she shall first obtain a written permit of the
<br />
<br />president of the Board of Health and one member of said Boards Said resident to
<br />
<br />have power to revoke said permit and have any hog removed at any time he deems it
<br />
<br />prudent for the health or comfort of inhabitants of the community in which any hog
<br />
<br />is located. Any person violating this section shall be fined not less than $1.00
<br />
<br />more than $5, for each day such violation continues
<br />
