<br />RESOLVED, By the Common Council of Charlottesville, The Board of Aldermen
<br />concurring, That the "Meade" property be offered to the C. & 0. Ry. Co, to be used
<br />exclusively and permanently as a Y. Y. C. A. for its employes, at the prise of
<br />$10,0001 and t"e �Fayor is hereby a,i)thorized to transmit this offer to tre proper
<br />official of the said company, and to execute on behalf of the City tre deed to Said
<br />property, if the sale is made.

<br />RESOLVED, By the Common Council of Charlottesville, The Board of Aldermen
<br />Concurring, That WNERE.AS ''.fir. Paul G. McIntire, through Mr. R. A. Watson, bas
<br />notified t'ne Yayor of his readiness to present to the City as a memorial to Ms
<br />parents, the real. estate known as the "Venable Property", consisting of the square
<br />lying between Jefferson and Yarket and First and c-eeond Streets, North Fast, to be
<br />maintained and used as a public park, and of his purpose to beautify t're park and
<br />erect in the center thereof an equesattian statue of our beloved 'hero, General
<br />Robert E. Tee
