A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATINIG $450. to supplement the appropriation of $600 to pay

<br />pentions to Confederate Veterans:

<br />Resolved, by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That the sum of $450, or so much thereof as may be necessary be and is hereby
<br />
<br />appropriated in addition to the $600 formerly appropriated to pay Confederate pensions
<br />
<br />to the amount of $25 each to such applicants as may be approlred by the Confederate
<br />
<br />Pension Board.
<br />

<br />A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $1,300 TO PURCHASE FIRE HOSE.
<br />
<br />Resolved, by the Common Council, the Board of Aldemen concurring,
<br />
<br />fire hose. That the sum of $1,500, or so much thereof as May be necessary, be and is
<br />
<br />hereby appropriated to purchase 1,000 feet of fire hose, and the City Manager be and
<br />
<br />is hereby authorized to make the purchase in the open market.

<br />A RESOLUTION GRSNTING PERMISSION TO J. ALLEN WHEAT TO CONSTRUCT A SEWER LINE FROM HIS
<br />
<br />RESIDENCE ON 15TH STREET N.W., TO THE TEN INCH MAIN ON SAID STREET, AND PROVIDING FOR
<br />
<br />HIS REIMBURSEMENT:
<br />
<br />Resolved, by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That J. Allen Wheat is hereby granted permission to construct a sewer line from
<br />
<br />his residence on 15th Street, N. W. , along said 15th Street to the ten -inch main
<br />
<br />which is now located thereon, making, connection with said ten -inch main; said work
<br />
<br />to be done under the supervision and with the approval of the City Manager, and the
<br />
<br />cost of same to be approved by said J. Allen Wheat and by the City Manager, the said
<br />
<br />J. Allen Wheat topay for same; and that when said sewer is built it shall, to far as
<br />
<br />it lies in and along said 150 Street be and become a portion of the sewerage system
<br />
<br />of the City of Charlotteaville and subject to the City's management, supervision and
<br />
<br />control., It is to be understood, however, that said Wheat shall be reimbursed for
<br />
<br />the actual expenditure made by him on this account to the extent of the actual cost
<br />
<br />of that portion of the sever which lies in 1501 Street, said amount not to bear
<br />
<br />interest, and said payment to be made by the City when it may be able to do so out of
<br />
<br />funds not otherwise appropriatede
<br />
