7. VENTILATION, LIGHTING, ETC: Every building, room, bascment or cellar occupied
<br />or used as a food establishment shall be properly lig,,ted, drained, plumbed and ventilated
<br />and conducted with due regard for the purity and wholesomeness of the food therein pro-
<br />duded, sold or stored, an"] with strict regard to the influence of such conditions upon
<br />the health of the operatives, clerks, or other persons therin employed. No food shall
<br />be kep, stored or sold in a damp place except at night.
<br />8. ICE BOXES; All ice boxes and refrigerators in food establishments shall at
<br />all times be kep in a clean and sanitary condition. All different articles of food
<br />stored in ice boxes shall�e kept in separate containers.
<br />9. GARBAGE CANS: All food establishments shall be equipped with covered,
<br />Water -tight metallic cans of sufficient size for retaining and keeping garbage and waste
<br />in a sanitary manner and shall ht all times be kept covered and so dis;)osed as not to
<br />cause a nuisance.
<br />10. 14PLOYERS, WASHING FACILITIES'., ETC. No one shall sleep or be permitted to
<br />sleep in any room ,.here food is stored, prepared, cooded or served. No employee, or
<br />other person in any way connected with the handling, cooking, or preparini7 .,)f any food-
<br />stuffs or products in any food establishment shall engage at work following a visit to
<br />a water -closet, urinal, or toilet room witliout first cleansing his or her hands. Wash-
<br />ing facilities ample for the u:,)e of employees shall be provided, and these facilities
<br />shall at all times be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Hu4ning water, soap
<br />individual clean towels and individual drinkingglasses shall be furnished those employed.
<br />11. TOILETS FACILITIES: IT shall be unlawful to operate, maintain, or conduct, any
<br />business where the process of production, manufacture, packing, canning, :3elling, or
<br />disposing of food products for consumption is conducted in any building, room or base-
<br />ment, unless the person so owning, conducting managint; or operating said business shall
<br />protide or cause to be providedoa sanitary toilet, which shall be located separate and
<br />apart. All doors ne-t opening directly into the room or rooms wherein such p rocees of
<br />production, manufacture, packing, canning, selling or disposition is conducted, shall be
<br />solid and have automatic closing devices. Every uninal, water -closet or toilet shall
<br />be kept in a clean and sanitary condition at all times, and it standard disinfectant shall
<br />be used constantly in such urinals, water -closets and toilets.
<br />12• CLOTHING OF EMPLOYERS, EXP"'OTORATION, LTC: :;very person employed in a food
<br />establishment or engaged in handling articles of food to be sold or offered for sale
<br />shall be clean in person at all times and wear clean garments when engaged in the pre-
<br />paration or disposition of foods. Cuspidore shall be provided by the owner or proprietor
<br />for each room )f every food establishment and no employee or other person shall ex-
<br />pectorate on the floors or walk of any such food of any such fool establishment.
<br />Plain notices forbidding such expectoration shall be posted in each place.
<br />13. INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND DISEASE CARRIERS: It shall be unlawful for any person
<br />to engage in the work of handling or dispensing of foodstuffs in any food establishment
<br />while suffering from or a carrier of any of the following dideases: Actinomycosis,
<br />anthrax, bubonic plague, cerebrospinal menigitis ( Epidemidl cerebrospinal fever(sopotted
<br />fever), chicken pox, asiatic chllera, diphtheria (Diphtheritic croup, membraneous croup,
<br />putrid sore throats, epidemic dysentery ( Bacillary or amebic dysentery), erysipelas,
<br />German measles, glanders (Faroy), leprosy, measles, mumps, pneumonia (true), scarlet fever
<br />(Scarltine, scarlet rash), small pox (variola, variolcid), syphilis or gonorrhea in com-
<br />14rnicable form, trachoma, tuberculisis in communicable form, typhoid fever, paratyphoid,
