3. Other Property. <br />Upon any tangible property not included in the foregoing, which is not <br />exempt from local taxation, the tax shall be $1.05 (one doller and five cents) <br />on every $100.00 assessed value thereof to pay the general operating expenses <br />of the City government and the interest and sinking fund on the City debt <br />other than schools, and there shall be levied an additional tax on every <br />$100.00 assessed value thereof of 2U (twenty-three cents) to pay the interest <br />and sinking fund on school bonds and 57g (fifty-seven cents) for the maintenance <br />and operating of the city schools. <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council June 279 1933* <br />Ayes: Mr. Fife, Dr. Haden, Messrs. Be- <br />fore making any purchase or sale in the amount in excess of #100.00, the City Pur- <br />chasing Agent shall give notice requesting sealed bids, which notice shall specify <br />the hour and place for opening said bids and said bids shall be opened before all <br />who may be present.
