AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 46 OF THE <br /> <br />LICENSE ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 46 of <br /> <br />the License Ordinance be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 46. Daguerrean and Fhotographle Artists and Canvassers for <br /> <br />Copying Pictures. <br /> <br />The license tax on any person engaged in business as a daguerrean or <br /> <br />photographic artist, shall be thirty dollars ($30). All persons canvassing <br /> <br />rr this city for copying pictures of any description shall pay a license tax <br /> <br />of fifty dollars ($50). Any itinerant daguerrean or photographic artist, or <br /> <br />any person taking orders in this city on the ticket or other plan for photo- <br /> <br />graphs to be delivered or furnished by photographers shall pay a license tax <br /> <br />of fifty dollars ($50), provided, that said license shall not be required of <br /> <br />persons taking orders for photographers licensed by this City and having a <br /> <br />fined place of business in this City, <br /> <br />Any license granted under this section shall not be transferable or pro- <br /> <br />rated <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council, September 5, 1933. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Fife, Dr. Haden, Messrs Huff, <br /> <br />Jessup and Twyman. <br /> <br />Noes: None <br /> <br />Clerk Signature <br /> <br />President Signature <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 336 OF THE CITT CODE OF <br /> <br />1932. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 336 of the <br /> <br />City Code of 1932 be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 336. Water --Application For --How Made--Deposit-Connecting Charge -- <br /> <br />Temporary Connection. <br /> <br />Whenever any person, owning property along the line of any water main, shall <br /> <br />desire the introduction of water into his premises, he shall make written applica- <br /> <br />tion therefor to the City Collector on forms prescribed by him and approved by the <br /> <br />City Manager. Such application shall be accompanied by a payment equal to the <br /> <br />minimum charge for the unexpired period, and a deposit of $1.00 (no deposit required <br /> <br />of where the owner of the property to be supplied signs the -application agreeing to <br /> <br />pay for water supplied on account of the application), and shall set forth the <br /> <br />name of the applicant, the location and description of the property into which the <br /> <br />water is to be introduced, and the purpose for which the water is to be used. The <br /> <br />City Manager shall thereupon cause to be constructed, at the expense of the City, <br /> <br />a service pipe leading from the said water main to the curb nearest said main where <br /> <br />tap is to be introduced, and install a water meter thereon unless the connection <br /> <br />has been previously made. For turning water on again after it has been cut off <br /> <br />for non-payment, there shall be a charge of $1.00 payable in advance. There shall <br /> <br />be a charge of $10.00 payable in advance for all temporary connections <br /> <br />This ordinance shall become effective on and after October 16, 1933. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council, October 16 1933. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Fife, Dr. Haden, Messrs.
