Any such dance hall shall not remain open later than twelve o'clock each night during the week and remain closed until six o'clock the following morning, without the written approval of the Mayor, after the Chief of Police has recommended in writing, that such approval be given. Said approval when granted shall be revokable by the Mayor at any time upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police. Any violation of this Section shall be punished by a fine of not less than $5.00 nor more than $25.00 for each offense. Members of the Police Force shall have the right to enter such dance hall at all hours to see that the peace and quiet of the City is preserved. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, and all Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. Clerk Signature President Signature AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 344, AS AMENDED, OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932, ENTITLED "WATER RATES". BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 344 of the City Code of 1932, as amended and reenacted October 16th, 1933, entitled "Water Rates", be and the same hereby is amended and reenacted so as to read as follows: SEC. 344 (B) WATER RATES. Water Rates shall be as follows: DOMESTIC RATES Minimum Charge per month or fractional part thereof................$1.00 Per 1000 cu. ft. First 1,000 cu. ft.................................................$2.62 Next 1,000 cu. ft. to 2,000 cu. ft.................................2.25 Next 1,000 cu. ft. to 3,000 cu. ft.................................1.50 Next 1,000 cu. ft. to 4,000 cu. ft.................................1.12½ All over 4,000 cu. ft.............................................. .90 FACTORY RATES Minimum Charge per month or fractional part thereof................$5.00 Per 1000 cu. ft. First 10,000 cu. ft................................................$0.97½ Next 20,000 cu. ft. to 30,000 cu. ft...............................0.82½ Next 10,000 cu. ft. to 40,000 cu. ft...............................0.75 All over 40,000 cu. ft.............................................0.60 The rates for consumers outside of the corporate limits shall be 100 per cent in addition to the above named rates. Each new consumer shall pay a connection charge of $100.00 in advance and shall execute such water contract as may be required by the City Manager. All water accounts shall be due and payable monthly on or before ten days after the meter has been read. The City Collector shall have the right to disconnect and cease furnishing water to any consumer who is delinquent in the payment of his or her account after the tenth day subsequent to the reading of the meter. If any water meter shall fail to register the charge shall be the average reading for the three preceding months. This section shall not apply to special contracts for the consumption of water which have been authorized by the Council. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, and all Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
