<br />Any such dance hall shall not remain open later than twelve
<br />o'clock each night during the week and remain closed until six
<br />o'clock the following morning, without the written approval of
<br />the Mayor, after the Chief of Police has recommended in writing,
<br />that such approval be given. Said approval when granted shall be
<br />revokable by the Mayor at any time upon the recommendation of the
<br />Chief of Police.
<br />Any violz:tion of this Section shall be punished by a fine of
<br />not less than $5.00 nor more than w25.00 for each offense.
<br />Members of the Police Force shall have the right to enter such
<br />dance hall at all hours to sep that the peace and quiet of the City
<br />is preserved.
<br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage,
<br />and all Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby re -
<br />repealed.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REE14ACTING SECTION 344, AS
<br />AMENDED, OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932, ENTITLED "WATER RATES".
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of ChL.rlottesville that Section 344
<br />of the City Code of 1932, as amended and reenacted October 16th, 1933, entitled
<br />"Water Rates", be and the same hereby is amended and reenacted so as to read as
<br />follows:
<br />SEC. 3.4.4 (B) WATER RATES.
<br />Water Rates shall be as follows:
<br />DOMESTIC RATES
<br />Minimum Charge per month or fractional part thereof................$1.00
<br />Per 1000 cu. ft.

<br />The rates for consumers outside of the corporate limits shall be 100 per
<br />cent in addition to the above named rates. Each new consumer shall
<br />pay a
<br />connection charge of $100.00 in advance and shall execute such
<br />water contract
<br />as may be required by the City Manager.
<br />'
<br />All water accounts shzlll be due and payable monthly on or
<br />before ten
<br />days after the meter has been read. The City Collector shall
<br />have the rig';t
<br />to disconnect and cease furnishing water to any consumer who is
<br />delinquent
<br />in the payment of his or her account after the tenth day subsequent
<br />to the
<br />reading of the meter.
<br />If any water meter shall fail to register the charge shall
<br />be the avera£;e
<br />reading for the three preceding months.
<br />This section shall not apply to special contracts for the
<br />consumption of
<br />water which have been authorized by the Council.
<br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date

<br />and all Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
