<br />Sec. 26. Soil, Waste or Vent Stacks:
<br />(a) Every building in which plumbing fixtures are
<br />installed shall have a soil or waste stack or stacks extending
<br />full size through the roof. Soil and waste stack shall be
<br />as direct as possible, free of sharp bends and turns. No
<br />long off sets will be permitted in a three inch soil stack.
<br />All off sets shall be avoided where possible. Short off sets
<br />in three inch stacks shall be made with one-eighth ,Mends
<br />or long sweep bends. Diameter of branches in threea i}ich
<br />soil stacks for water closets must be increased to four i* es.

<br />(b) Waste pipe branches must connect direct witl' 0-11
<br />stack or may connect into the side of closet bends.

<br />(cf, All soil, waste and vent stacks shall extend ?not
<br />less Than one foot above roof of building or contigµous

<br />within twelve feet of any window or air shaft they shall
<br />extetid not less than three feet above same; and if roofs

<br />(g) A branch relief vent, proportionate in size to the
<br />volume of soil or waste fixture units discharging above,
<br />with the branch taken off the main vent at an angle of 45
<br />degrees to vertical and connected in front of the nearest
<br />fixture branch will be required and in accordance with
<br />the table of pipe capacity contained in this Chapter and
<br />the minimum required size branch vent may be connected
<br />to this relief vent. This sub -section shall also apply to the
<br />relief Vent required for a circuit or loop vent.
<br />(h) All vent pipes must be graded so as to drip back to
<br />the soil or waste pipe. All vent pipes connecting to a hori-
<br />zontal soil or waste pipe must be taken off above the center
<br />line of.the pipe when possible, and the vertical pipe must
<br />rise vertically or at an angle of 45 degrees to the veritic

<br />(b) On all galvanized wrought iron or galvanized steel
<br />Soil, waste or vent pipes, the ends of pipe must be carefully
<br />reamed to prevent a reduction in the bore.
<br />(c) Standing waste on all plumbing fixtures is pro-
<br />hibited and no fixture will be permitted to be installed
<br />unless it is so constructed that no water in the fixture can
<br />r come in contact with the waste pipe while the fixture
<br />Xis in use.
<br />} c. 28. Refrigerator Drains:
<br />No refrigerator or other receptacle in which provisions
<br />are stored shall be connected with any drain, soil, waste
<br />or vent pipe, or discharged on the ground beneath_ft�i,
