waiving its rights in the 9th Street Crossing but are interested in the construc- <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br />Clerk President <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER, SEPTEMBER 21 1947 <br />The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members <br />present: Mr. Adams, Mr. Gleason, idr. Nash, and Mr. Watson. <br />Minutes of the meeting of August 18, 19147 were read and approved. <br />Dudley Former police officer J. W. Dudley addressed the Council and requested that <br />Y en s ion <br />his retirement pay of $72.50 per month be increased. Mr. Dudley was informed that <br />it was the policy of the Council to retire City employees on one-half of their <br />regular salary at the time of their retirement and they were not disposed to change <br />tion of the overhead bridge at Shamrock Road.immediately. <br />Signal <br />On motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Nash, the City Manager was <br />, <br />Lights - <br />Binglert s <br />instructed to request the Southern Railway Company to immediately install signal <br />Crossing <br />applic^tions were unanimously approved: <br />lights at Binglerts Crossing. <br />R. Craft Locust Avenue Extended <br />A motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Tebell, that a committee be appoint- <br />Johns - <br />Page Sts. <br />ed to negotiate with Mr. Joe Goldsten for the necessary property to connect Johns <br />0100.00 connection <br />charge not required) <br />and Mage Streets, was unanimously adopted.
