r CS Tebell, seconded by Pyr. Gleason, and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. A communication from Judge J. Callan Brooks stating that he had appointed Du r ham - Police Sergeant C. 0. Durham as temporary clerk and bailiff of the Civil and Police Court Clerk Justice Court, was presented. On motion this appointment was unanimously approved. The following resolution was offered by Mr. Tebell, seconded by lair. Nash, and carried over to the next meeting for further considers tion: Traffic BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Survey x, . 64,500. 00, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated for a traffic survey in the City of Charlottesville. Teen -Age On motion the Teen -Age Canteen was authorized to use the top floor of the Canteen rear Midway School building. County On motion by 1dr. Tebell, seconded by Mr. Nash, the following county water Water Connections applications were approved: James E. Timberlake Bellemeade Development Corporation. Bellair On motion by Mr. Nash, seconded by :fir. Tebell, the �14Iayor was authorized Uyater Line to execute an agreement with the Bellair Estates, Inc., with respect to a water line. On motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Nash, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: Shelves- BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Storeroom City Hall $75.00 or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated for the erection of shelves in storeroom in the basement of the City Hall. Sewer- A communication from Mrs. Gladys Dove Bullock in regard to a seyler connec- Chestnut Street tion for her property on Chestnut Street was presented, and on motion referred to the City Manager for investigation and report. Gleason, Mr. Nash, and Mr. Watson. Minutes of the Meeting of April 21, 19x.7 were read and approved. On motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Nash, the following resolution was offered and carried over to the next meeting for further consideration: BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Addition and $1,950.00, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is Repairs to Fire House hereby appropriated for an addition and repairs to the Fire House. The Fire Company submitted a report stating that they considered the Report of Midway School Buildings a fire hazard. Fire Chief Page advised the Council Fire Company re: Midway that in his opinion the building was not safe to be used by the Teen -Age Club School Bldgs. for their club room.
