194. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, while the City and the Albemarle County Service Authority <br />have called for voluntary conservation measures on the part of their respective <br />customers, the capacities of the reservoirs serving the area have continued to <br />decrease; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Charlottesville that there is hereby declared to be an emergency in the City <br />of Charlottesville arising out of a shortage of water supply; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to City Code Section 31-125 <br />the City Manager and the Director of Public Works are duly authorized, during the <br />duration of the water emergency, to implement any or alt of the restrictions or <br />prohibitions on water usage set forth in City Code Section 31-125(A), <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> Mr. Caravati removed the Resolution Authorizing a LawsUit Settlement, and <br />Mr; Toscano removed the Ordinance Closing an Alley on Charlton Road from the <br />consent agenda, <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Lynch, seconded by Mr. Cox, the following consent <br />agenda items were approved by the following vote, Ayes: Mr. Caravati, Mr. Cox, <br />Mr. Lynch, Ms. Richards, Mr. Toscano. Minutes of September 20, 21, October 1, 2, and 12 <br /> <br />b. ~PROPRIAT!ON: $231,586 - Fare Free Trolley (2na reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, <br />that the sum of $231,586 is hereby appropriated from the contingency account 26- <br />020-122050-5011 lin the Capital Fund to account 45-191-141410-50111 in the <br />Transit Fund for the purpose of funding the Free Trolley Program for the firml 10 <br />months of Fiscal year 2001-2002. No fares shall be collected from passengers on <br />this shuttle route. This pilot program will be evaluated during the budget process <br />for possible inclusion in the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 budget as <br />on-going program. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $20,000 from the University of Virginia is <br />hereby appropriated to account 45-191-141410-50111 in the Transit Fund for the <br />purpose of funding the Free Trolley Program for the rinal 10 months of Fiscal Year <br />2001-2002.
